Meet Gabriella
Believer. Wife. Mama. Homemaker. Storyteller.
Gabriella was born and raised in a family that encouraged her love for stories and adventure from a young age. For most of her twenties, she worked in the film and television industry with the goal of becoming a writer. While she learned a great deal from her experience at production companies and one of the “Big Four” talent agencies, she felt a calling to step away from the industry and pursue a career that was more aligned with her biblical values.
She took a break from storytelling to pursue a career as a pediatric occupational therapist. She found great satisfaction in working with children, enabling them with skills and encouraging them to persevere through trials, and she gained a greater appreciation for the power that stories have in shaping our thoughts and character. After all, what are our thoughts but stories we tell ourselves?
After stepping into a season of motherhood and full-time homemaking, Gabriella felt the calling to start writing stories again—this time, in a new way. While nursing her son and praying about the kind of man she hoped he would one day grow up to be, Gabriella had an idea for a story about a young boy with a dream to become a knight, a story about a boy who learns the importance of being brave, clever, and kind. That story became her debut children’s picture book, HOW TO BECOME A KNIGHT.
And then, despite her protestations that this project was a “one-and-done” endeavor, she found herself unable to stop. There are more stories to be told. More books to share. And she feels immeasurably blessed and honored to be able to share them with you.
Gabriella lives in Idaho with her husband and son, both of whom motivate and inspire her. When she isn’t busy homemaking or writing, Gabriella loves remodeling their home one room at a time (with her husband doing all the hard work), traveling, fellowshipping with other families from their church, and going for bike rides along the Boise River.
What you’ll find in her books…
Gabriella loves crafting stories filled with adventure, wonder, beauty, and truth. She believes that stories have a profound impact on our thoughts and beliefs, and that we deserve stories that inspire and teach us. She views God as the Great Storyteller, who has graciously revealed Himself to us through the historical, poetic, and prophetic stories of Scripture.
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8
